Getting Ready for Christmas!

It feels so wrong! With this balmy weather, kids not yet back in school and the sun not setting until after 7:00 it is still totally summer. But in order to call myself "prepared" I've spent the last few day figuring out and working on CHRISTMAS CARD templates!! The plan is to offer two or three double sided 5x5 flat cards, two or three 5x5 traditional folded cards, two or three 5x7 double sided cards, two or three traditional folded cards and two or three single sided photo cards. Maybe even some 4x8 photo cards too?? They will come with envelopes and the messages can be changed. These will be offered at a discount to anyone who has had a session with me since January.

On the topic of Christmas- don't wait to book your session!! Spaces are starting to filling up and there will be a cut off date for all cards!!

Here is a sample of just one of the double sided 5x5 flat cards. The message on both the front and the back can be changed:

I will be working on the rest of them this week and will post more samples soon.

I would love to know what you think! Please leave your comments!!

Mike & Coreen

We did the engagement session for the wedding I will be doing at the end of September. What an awesome night!! Obviously I wasn't the only photographer to think so because the first spot we tried had 5 other photographers squished into 50 yards of beach! So we headed to a secret spot I know and got lucky- it was us and the beachgoers.

We had a lot of fun getting sandy and wet! Here are a few of my favorite shots from the evening:

A Beautiful Day for a Wedding

A beautiful day to attend a wedding, but a bit too hot to photograph one! I was the second shooter with Tracie Taylor Photography again this weekend. I really do enjoy being the second shooter for weddings. I can stand back and capture the smaller moments as I have less of the stress. Here are a few of those moments as I captured them:

Beach Photoshoot

Worked with my friend Tracie Taylor at a beach photo shoot she had last week. It was a unusual evening for August- cloudy and cool. But the clouds caught all the pinks as the sun was setting and made a beautiful background. Here are a couple of images from the shoot taken by me:

I'm having a hard time getting more photos added. Check back for more later this evening. You can also visit Tracie's blog for more photos.

I've shot a few weddings as a second shooter already- and have another coming up in a couple of weeks- but I just signed my first solo contract!! I am so excited!! Look for the engagement photos to be posted here in a few weeks.

Here are a few images from past weddings I have photographed as an employee of Tracie Taylor Photography:

Sunday in the Park

I helped out a friend this last weekend who was having a birthday party for her twin girls who are turning 1 and another of her 5 kids who is turning 3! Lots of fun! Lots of energy! I needed a nap when it was over (and so did my 7 year old!). Here are a couple shots of the girls:

I love this one! All 5 of those kids have the most beautiful blue eyes!
